Last Wednesday night, during the snow storm that rolled through, the victim in this case stopped at a hotel near 87th/Nebraska Parkway to stay overnight until the weather calmed down. The following morning he started up his car and left it unattended in the hotel parking lot while it warmed up. You’ll see in the video a Toyota Camry pulls into the lot, drops someone off, and that person gets into the victim’s vehicle and drives off. We have seen a lot of auto theft the past couple weeks, most of them vehicles left unattended with keys in them just like this one, so this case serves as a nice reminder to be protective of your vehicle because these thefts happen very quickly.
